Sletten is a full-service contractor providing a variety of services from each of our offices to fit the needs of each project. From the initial stages of project planning and development through the construction phase and project delivery, Sletten works in partnership with clients under a variety of delivery methods including:
- Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR)
- Construction Management
Design/Build is a delivery method providing a single point of responsibility for the design and construction of a project. Instead of design and construction working separately, Sletten selects an A/E, places them under contract and adds them to the design-build team. By utilizing partnerships and team building, Sletten adds value to the Owner by providing constructability reviews, budgeting, cost control and logistical scheduling. Effective partnering reduces delays, avoids misunderstandings and creates a positive design/build team that works together to achieve common goals.
Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR)
CMAR is selected though a qualifications-based process, rather than by the traditional bid method. The project team, including the A/E, CMAR, Owner and key subcontractors, is established at the very beginning of the project in order to provide design phase assistance. Sletten's involvement begins during the planning stages of the project and continues through construction. Sletten's preconstruction services include:
- Budget development
- Value engineering
- Constructability reviews
- Quality control
- Safety adherence
- Site management
- Schedule control
- Subcontractor selection
- Life-cycle cost analysis
By maintaining continuity, any decisions made during the design phase are properly implemented during construction. Sletten's preconstruction process results in a finished product meeting the Owner's needs by demonstrating cost savings, reducing construction time and minimizing change orders.
