William P. “Bill” Curran
In June 1992, William P. “Bill” Curran joined Sletten Construction Company as an outside Director. After attending law school, Mr. Curran served two years as a law clerk for the Nevada Supreme Court. From 1975 through 1989, he was a member of the Clark County District Attorney's Office, ultimately serving for ten years as County Counsel where he supervised a staff of 22 attorneys and served as Chief Legal Counsel to the Clark County Commission, the Liquor and Gaming Licensing Board, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, McCarran International Airport, University Medical Center, the Clark County Planning Commission, the Clark County Building Department, the Clark County Public Works Department, the Clark County Sanitation District, the Las Vegas Valley Water District and more than 50 other local governmental entities.
From 1989 to date, Mr. Curran has maintained a private law practice and is currently a partner in the firm of Ballard, Spahr, Andrews & Ingersoll LLP with emphasis in administrative, government, gaming, real estate, construction and civil litigation.
Mr. Curran is a former chairman of the International Association of Gaming Regulators and the Nevada Gaming Commission. He is the past president of the Nevada Bar Association. Throughout his career, Mr. Curran has served as a member of numerous public and charitable organizations including United Way of Southern Nevada, the National District Attorney's Association and the National Association of Counties.
In 1969, Mr. Curran graduated with honors from the University of Minnesota with a degree in political science and received his Juris Doctrine Degree from the University of California, Boalt Hall School of Law in 1972.
Francisco serves as General Counsel for Agassi Graf, the management company for Andre Agassi and Stefanie Graf, and the Andre Agassi Foundation for Education. He is responsible for communications and media, marketing and brand management, strategic partnerships, government and legal affairs. Recently, Mr. Aguilar spent a year working at Adidas Global Headquarters in Herzogenaurach, Germany, through a transatlantic Fellowship with the Robert Bosch Stiftung GmbH.
In May 2004, he graduated from The University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law with a Juris Doctor as well as from The University of Arizona Eller Graduate College of Management with an MBA. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in finance and accounting from The University of Arizona where he was elected to serve as Student Body President representing 35,000 students. Mr. Aguilar is a member of the Nevada, California, and Arizona Bars. He also serves as a member of the board of directors for CREST Insurance Group, the Las Vegas Bowl Executive Committee, The University of Arizona James E. Rogers Law College Board of Visitors, the University of Arizona Foundation National Leadership Council and Founding Chairman of Cristo Rey St Viator College Preparatory High School in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Nevada Governors Jim Gibbons and Brian Sandoval appointed Mr. Aguilar to the Nevada Athletic Commission which regulates boxing and mixed martial arts for a total of three terms. He served two years as Chairman of the Commission. Mr. Aguilar has been on Sletten Construction’s Board of Directors since 2014.
Lance W. Lord
In June 2006, General Lance W. Lord became an outside member of the Board of Directors for Sletten, Inc.
Retired General Lance W. Lord was Commander, Air Force Space Command, Peterson Air Force Base, Colo. He was responsible for the development, acquisition and operation of the Air Force's space and missile systems. The General oversaw a global network of satellite command and control, communications, missile warning and launch facilities, and ensured the combat readiness of America's intercontinental ballistic missile force. He directed more than 39,700 space professionals who provided combat forces and capabilities to North American Aerospace Defense Command and U.S. Strategic Command.
General Lord entered the Air Force in 1969 as a graduate of the Otterbein College ROTC program. He completed a series of Air Staff and Department of Defense-level assignments in strategic missiles after serving four years of Minuteman II ICBM alert duty. He directed the Ground-Launched Cruise Missile Program Management Office in Europe. He was a Military Assistant to the Director of Net Assessment with the Office of the Secretary of Defense and represented the Air Force as a research associate in international security affairs at Ohio State University.
General Lord commanded two ICBM wings in Wyoming and North Dakota. In California he commanded a space wing responsible for satellite launch and ballistic missile test launch operations. He served as Director of Plans and as Vice Commander for Headquarters Air Force Space Command.
The General led Air Force education and training as Commandant of Squadron Officer School, Commander of 2nd Air Force, Commander of Air University and Director of Education for Air Education and Training Command. Prior to assuming his current position, General Lord was the Assistant Vice Chief of Staff for Headquarters U.S. Air Force.
General Lord has received the following major awards and decorations: Distinguished Service Medal with oak leaf cluster, Legion of Merit with two oak leaf clusters, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal with oak leaf cluster, Air Force Commendation Medal with oak leaf cluster, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award with oak leaf cluster, Air Force Organizational Excellence Award with three oak leaf clusters, Combat Readiness Medal, National Defense Service Medal with two bronze stars, and Humanitarian Service Medal.
Additionally the General's other achievements include:1988 Secretary of the Air Force Leadership Award, Air War College, Maxwell AFB, Ala., 1999 Gen. Thomas D. White Space Trophy, Air Force Association, 2003 General Bernard A. Schriever Fellow Award, Air Force Association, Northern Utah Chapter, 2003 Distinguished Achievement Award, Air Force Association, Tennessee Ernie Ford Chapter, 2004 General James V. Hartinger Award, National Defense Industrial Association, Rocky Mountain Chapter, 2004 General Jimmy Doolittle Fellow Award, Air Force Association, Iron Gate Chapter, 2004 Gen. Bernard A. Schriever Award, Air Force Association, Los Angeles Chapter, 2005 Space Champion Award, National Defense Industrial Association, and 2006 Order of the Sword, Air Force Space Command.
Richard J. Morgan
Richard Morgan has been the Dean and Professor of Law with the William S. Boyd School of Law of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas since September 1997. Richard received his Juris Doctor from UCLA, School of Law in 1971 Order of the Coif UCLA Law Review Faculty nominee for the William O. Douglas Supreme Court Clerkship Recipient of the faculty award for best business law student.
Mr. Morgan is currently a member of Clark County Legal Services Board of Directors, Clark County Bar Foundation Board of Directors, Lied Real Estate Institute Board of Directors, Salvation Army Board, State Bar of Nevada Board of Governors, and Board of Trustees of the National Judicial College.
Mr. Morgan currently serves as vice chair of the Aruze Corporation compliance committee and as chair of the Cantor Fitzgerald Compliance Committee. In addition, he serves on the compliance committee of MGM Mirage Corporation.
He achieved his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, University of California at Berkeley, 1967 Tower and Flame Honor Society Undergraduate scholarship recipient.
Lawrence H. Hayward
Lawrence H. Hayward is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Leslie's Poolmart, Inc., the world's largest Retailer of Swimming Pool Supplies with 689 stores operating in 35-states coast to coast in the United States.
In August of 2017, Mr. Hayward retired as Chief Executive Officer and continued with his role as Chairman of the Board. Mr. Hayward had served as CEO since 2000. Prior to joining Leslie's, Mr. Hayward served as President of ABCO Desert Markets, a food and drug retailer located in Arizona. From 1995 until 1999, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Carr Gottstein Foods Co., Alaska's largest food and drug retailer and wholesale provider.
From 1990 to 1995, Mr. Hayward held other senior level positions at Buttrey Food and Drug Company, one of the leading food & drug retailers in the Northwest. From 1981 until 1990 he served in various corporate positions at American Stores Company headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah. Mr. Hayward currently serves on the Board of Directors of Petco Animal Supplies, one of the nation's leading pet supply retailers headquartered in San Diego, CA.
In addition, he serves on the Board of Directors for the Paradigm Project, innovating sustainable social, environmental and economic change. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metropolitan Phoenix.
